Stargazer Mushroom
Stargazer Mushroom Overview
Stargazer Mushroom sometimes called “Inca Stargazer”, was named for its discovery near Inca ruins in the Andes Mountains of Peru. It’s been a popular strain for a while due to its inclusion in Paul Stamets and J.S. Chilton’s seminal 1983 book, The Mushroom Cultivator. Stargazer has remained a sought-after strain for home growers because the mushrooms are potent and it’s known to be a prolific fruiter that’s suitable for beginners. Plus, it’s also said to have some natural contamination resistance.

stargazer mushroom strain specifications
The Inca Stagazer strain of Psilocybe cubensis is one of the oldest strains in circulation, although it has become very rare over time. You can find this strain mentioned as one of the original strains ever available in the 1970’s book, “The Mushroom Cultivator,” by Paul Stamets. Inca Star Gazer was originally found in South America growing in dense clusters, in the hills of the Andes mountains, close to ancient Inca ruins. Inca Stargazer is noted to be a very prolific fruiter, giving massive flushes, with ease, and also very potent, with small to medium fruits.
